Diagnosing PBC
Diagnosis
Often, a diagnosis of PBC occurs following routine blood tests, and you may not yet have developed any symptoms.1,2 For other people, diagnosis can be a longer, more complex journey because of the vague nature of symptoms.
Your doctor may recommend a variety of tests to assess how your liver is working, rule out other diseases, and confirm a diagnosis of PBC.
