Travelling with AS is entirely possible, but preparation is essential:1

  • Notify airlines or travel companies in advance if you need assistance. You should be able to ask for adjustments to make your journey and stay more comfortable.
  • Plan for your medication, making sure you have enough for the duration of your trip and considering storage like cool bags.
  • Carry copies of prescriptions and check local regulations—some countries restrict certain medications.
  • Invest in travel insurance that covers pre-existing conditions.
  • Be cautious about vaccinations —vaccines are not advised with all medications.
